Inchling — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
The short version: your tasks never leave your iPhone. Inchling has no accounts, no servers of ours, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The AI that splits your task into micro-steps runs entirely on your device.
Who we are
Inchling is developed and published by Mete Erdal Köroğlu (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the Inchling iOS app does with information. It applies to the app and to this page only.
What stays on your device
Everything you type or generate in Inchling is stored locally on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us:
- Task titles and the micro-steps they are split into
- Completion history, streaks and focus-session progress
- Your settings (language, sounds, notification time, and similar preferences)
This data lives in the app’s own on-device database and in a shared app-group container that lets the Inchling widget and Live Activity show your current step. We have no access to it. If you use iCloud device backup, a copy may be included in that backup — that backup is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy, not by us.
The AI runs on your device
Task breakdown uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models on supported hardware. Your task text is processed locally by the operating system and is not sent to us, to Apple’s servers, or to any third-party AI service. On devices without Apple Intelligence support, Inchling falls back to a template library bundled inside the app and to manual splitting — also fully offline.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your name, address, card or payment details.
To know whether your purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider acting as our processor. RevenueCat receives the App Store transaction/receipt information, a randomly generated anonymous app user ID, and basic technical data such as device model, operating-system version, app version and country. This is used only to validate and restore your purchase. It is not linked to your name or email, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Inchling schedules them locally on your device. There is no push server, and no notification content is sent anywhere.
What we do not collect
- No account, sign-in, email address or profile
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDK
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, no cross-app or cross-site tracking
- No contacts, photos, location, microphone or health data
Because Inchling does not track you, it never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission.
Health and medical information
Inchling is a productivity tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not collect health data of any kind.
Children
Inchling is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete on request.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app from your device permanently removes every task, step, streak and setting it stored. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are outside the app; you can request deletion of the RevenueCat record by contacting us with your purchase details.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another region with data-protection rights, those rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection) apply to the limited purchase data described above. Because the data is anonymous, we may need the App Store transaction ID to locate it. We do not sell or share personal information, under any definition, including the CCPA’s.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
